There is a good way to keep the AC adapter for my laptop to get hot while plugged?
It gets hot very easily. This is a Dell laptop. I can not leave unplug the power cord is long, as the battery life is only 4 hours. And without that computer is on, no other computer in my house has a connection to the Internet. And believe me, you might not appreciate them telling me that now you can get on-line, because we have a lot of projects we do for school, work, and our church. I really do not have the time or the patience to rework our network. E 'was hard enough to have a computer with XP to network one with Vista, as the instructions for doing so were rather vague. So my question is, is there anything that wouldnt be bad for the cable or equipment I can do to prevent it ever overheated? Or are their new adapters can buy that does not get hot so easily? This is what originally came with this laptop. Thank you! There were not any adverse effects from the adapter to get warm so far, this is just in case it is not so hot that I can not keep in hand for one min or so. I just didn't really know how hot adapters can be either still be considered normal
Adapters tend to warm. You can buy a more units (one with the same tension), but higher wattage (power output). One can use the same power, but dissipate over a larger area, so if the amount of heat radiated is the same, it would be more of a wider area, so the unit would be cooler. Has this changed since the had before? If so, perhaps it needs to replace the battery or the adapter (charger) is evil. The batteries do not go bad. The unit should not be too hot to touch, but if it is, there is something wrong. If there is a shop nearby, you should ask for their information. There have been some problems with batteries cayching fire.
