How do I get my hard drive jumpers set up for two non-RAID hard disk?

Before, I had two 250 GB hard drives that have been set up as RAID 0 and reset to non-RAID. A friend of mine says that the hard drive cables should be set up differently for non-RAID hard disk, but I have no experience with hard disk, so if someone could tell me how I could create my hard disk so that the cables are set up for non-RAID hard disk, I would be really grateful. Thanks in advance!

Your friend is wrong. If the discs work as a RAID set before and you changed the way that the controller tracks, they are connected properly. You should not need to change the wiring or jumper.
