I have a Dayton 1 hp beltdriven, splitphase for my motor hood 110v11amps Fryer can use a rotary dimmer on it?
You're trying to slow down the engine down? 11 amps is a po '! There are heavy auto-transformers out there (look like a big rheostat or control the volume of about 8 to 10 inches in diameter and heavy, with a three-axis to be inserted in the socket) that have to be in 90Vac about 135 Vac. I have a smaller one that I use in my work, but it is only Rated at 5 amps out. Indeed, the rating is in watts, check with your local electrical supply house.
